Part III 4&7 reading response

As a Floridian, I was able to relate to part III. 4&7 when they talk about flooding and droughts. Within the last 10 ten years the climate has increasingly become hotter, more humid, and extremely bi-polar. Although I lived in state and did not experience any flooding, I remember seeing it on the news and hearing my friend that lives on the island of Miami Beach complaint about her parking lot having waves and a clear current in the water flow. This normally happens during the summer time when the climate gets hotter and tropical storms occur regularly. Within the storms we would also get hail storms that would cause a lot of damage to roofs and transportation. Unlike Florida, New York has different problems. For example, during the winter, transportation will get affected because of snow. People who suffer the most during the winter are low income households. The cold will often stop or break the heating systems  leaving people with no warm water.
