Charles Vigliotti created a company called American Organic Energy. His company is the perfect way to solve all of the food waste that exists in New York City. In the few months that I have been living in New York, the food wastage is evident on every block from grocery stores and restaurants, to even larger corporate stores. Normally food scraps would be turned into fertilizers, but Charles invented what he calls digesters. They convert food wastage into sustainable energy. Vigliotti’s innovative idea is definitely a lot cleaner and will create less carbon footprint.
