Learning Portfolio Post #3:Dress Blog Reflection

Dress Blog Reflection

I always wear the dark hue choice of clothing. I tend to wear more “active” wear when I don’t have my glasses on, but more nerdy combination when I have them on. I think I set a theme/ image depending on those glasses everyday. They just fit easier with those burgundy or brown hue (of clothing).

I found myself consider about what classes I am going to at the morning of the day, so I chose the texture of my garments accordingly. For example, especially for my sewing class days, I try to avoid wearing wool sweater. The texture of the wool sweater makes it very hard to get rid of thread ends and most importantly the pin needles. I had experienced sewing with having wool sweater or velvet before. That was a horrible experience for the clean up. And I almost stabbed myself with a pin that hid in the sweater.

Keeping an appropriate body temperature is essential to my dressing experience. No matter how well I feel that morning, but for this season, I always layer up with scarf or jackets or coats. I see myself keeping a very steady body silhouette no matter the situation. However, I would dress more elongated when I did my makeup and feeling to be more feminine. The texture of the clothes have affects on my comfort level of the day. For example, on a cozy Saturday, I would love to wear a wool scarf rather than the more corse texturized one. The wool texture slows down the mood and my mental pace.
