For this redesign, I felt sketching it didn’t accurately represent what the final could/would look like. So, here I’ve attached a screen capture of the first draft of my actual recreation. Essentially, this image is a screenshot of a digital GIF rendering of the initial painting (I tried to attach the actual moving image but I’m not sure if it works). I knew I wanted to change the medium from paint to digital. To me, the painting evokes feelings of movement and chaos, both of which I wanted to be sure to incorporate into the recreation. Instagram has introduced a new feature where you can add “sticker”-like GIF images to your stories. You essentially can search for any key words in order to find specific stickers to attach to your picture. My recreation was made entirely with Instagram’s feature. I searched “Star Wars”, “Coke”, “Bee” and other words that gave me images that I could then place where the same images are on the original painting.
