My two souvenirs for the redesigned Columbus Circle monument are a crewneck sweatshirt and a small model reproduction of the monument itself.
The crewneck sweatshirt features a variety Taino Native American symbols. Honoring the Taino legacy and culture is an integral part of the monument. and symbols that appear printed on the crewneck are also symbols that will appear on engravings on the side of the new monument. One sleeve summarizes the content of the monument with the phrase “Columbus / Taino” while the other sleeve features the monument’s working title.
The model will be 8 inches high and made of a sturdy, polished plastic, a miniature replica of the monument. A simple option for anyone who wants to take home a memory of the monument.
