Liquid Gold: Students make world’s brick out of human urine

This article is about how students in South Africa created a brick that is made from human urine. They collected urine from specific males that volunteered for this and then after collecting the urine they mixed it with sand and bacteria.

It was very interesting to read about this after working on the mycelium mushroom. It is very similar in many ways because of the organic material use and the way that is shaped using molds. I believe that these materials will be the future of construction. Even though they can not be used in the field right now, I deeply believe that after people continue working on them, they will come to the point where they are as solid as a real construction material.
