World must triple efforts or face catastrophic climate change, says UN
Climate change is becoming more serious every minute. The measures that were taken before are not enough anymore. It is not increasing like it was thought, it is much faster and much more effective.
“New taxes on fossil fuels, investment in clean technology and much stronger government policies to bring down emissions are likely to be necessary. Governments must also stop subsidizing fossil fuels, directly and indirectly, the UN said.”
As it can be seen in this quote taken from the article, the solutions for climate change has to become more serious and effective. It can not continue this way.
This is a topic that we see in many articles, however, seeing that the effort has to triple as a headline is very shocking. When I first saw this headline, I could not stop myself from reading it because I didn’t even think it was true. However, as I read more, I saw that climate change is way over the limit that I thought of.
