this video is mainly focusing on and inspired by how I felt strongly when I was hanging out with her. I like talking and spending time with Emmy, but there are times when she starts to be on her phone when I tried to interact with her. I always feel like there were a huge distance between us although we are in the same space, but at the same time I also want to build more connections. I decided to exaggerate what had happened and make more bizarre and weird scenes that make the audience able to sense how it is feel like to be disconencted. There are some symbolism I used, for example, her body gesture in the very first scene that suggests emmy is on her phone and also the screen light that is reflected on her face. The challenges I faced was how to not go over the line. I don’t want this video to be a negative connotation of my partner, but the main idea is to express the usage of phone for people nowadays. There were no extra sound effects because I want the audience to sense the awkwardness and the emptiness while the whole process was going on. Something that I’m proud of is how everything turned out really lighthearted. As I mentioned before, this is purely me dramatically represent the my feelings towards this incident.
