Assignment Description
During studio class, we discussed our prototype and shared our ideas to our partner to receive feedback and some inspiration.
Troy was my partner for his exercise, and he drew two images of myself in the space I described to him as my main source of inspiration. He drew a representation of me relaxed and asleep on a lotus flower in the pond I told him I fell into the last time I visited my grandfather’s place. The expression drawn of the girl is calm and she appears to be state of peace and happiness. The picture captures the nostalgia in a dream like state and reflects the calmness I feel when I remember the place and the memories that have taken place there. After hearing his interpretation and suggestions of my idea, I thought more in depth into how I can bring out the calmness and peace of this place through my aesthetics. I thought of the idea of engaging the audience with more than the visual sense and possibly incorporating sounds and scents to bring out the real nature of this place.
