Quote: Look, the gibbous moon’s gray face and the new face behind it I almost know.

I created this piece to reflect Li Young Lee’s words. The face in the lower left corner is recognizing the face behind the moon; the descending faces symbolizes the near recognition this person has according to the moon. The three hands pointing toward the moon are surrounded by triangular shapes that contain firing neurons- neurons fire when someone is able to recognize another. I interpreted this quote as to mean this person in the lower left is recognizing someone that left their life in the past, and is now attempting forgiveness. The flowers in the upper left corner are bluebells: flowers of forgiveness. I related this to myself and my own life, therefore, this reflects not only Li Young Lee, but also myself and relationships with those I have learned to forgive.
