What do you LOVE? What do you want to MAKE? Who do you want to BECOME?

I love people, friendship, and humanity. I love the idea of people coming together. I also am passionate about art. I’ve always loved art and design my entire life. When I was younger I was more into fine arts but as I’ve gotten older I have steered towards fashion. I also love the environment and I want to specifically study sustainable fashion design

I want to protect the arts. Some people don’t understand how societally important the arts are, and usually in recessions and crisis, the arts are the first things to suffer and diminish, however art is an important part of society and can help promote important messages. It’s unfortunate how some people don’t see that. I also want to protect the EPA. The EPA is currently in a tough spot with the current political situation in our country. I also am passionate about the refugee crisis. My Grandma was a refugee from Egypt and she built a meaningful life here in America, I want anybody who is suffering to be able to come here and live happily. I cried when Trump did the Muslim ban.

I want to innovate fashion to use more sustainable ways to create clothes. Eliminating unfair labor in struggling countries is important to me. Additionally, many of the fabrics we wear on our bodies go through processes that are harmful for the environment. Finding out new ways to recycle fabric and make eco-friendly clothes will be good for the world. I also want to make art more accessible in under privileged areas. I think learning about art and partaking in programs in the arts can be a great outlet and experience.

In my life I want to do something that’ll create a positive change in the way clothing is produced while also making beautiful clothing for people to wear, and enjoy. Once I am a well known designer, or have a platform of some sort, I want to have my own foundation for green energy. This has been my dream!!!
