Visit to FIT Museum

I really enjoyed going to this museum and seeing how fashion can really be connected to anything. Nature was a big part of this exhibit from clothes that looked like birds, insects, plants, etc. and it was really intriguing to see this come to life in the clothes. One in particular that I really liked was Alexander McQueen’s line of clothing from nature. The use of subtle warm brown colors, rustic pattern, and style brought this to life. Here these clothes are described as python and crocodile patterns and is executed beautifully. It is said that he uses Plato as an influence in his art and you could see this evolution of nature through his line.
