Lower East Side Ecology Center Tour
I run along the East River so I was excited when we were told that we would be touring the Ecology Center! My boyfriend walked me down to the amphitheater that Friday morning where toured the compost piles and visited the ecology center. While on the tour they described the goals of the compost pile and its purpose. They sell their compost in the union square farmers market.
When touring the ecology center and talking about the barnacles in the east river, they also described the BIG U project coming to East River Park.
