1.Project description:
a. Cooking Library– Title of my branch library
b. A glass reading vessel + horizontal passages allows to move from one vessel of reading + stairs of vertical book holds.
-As my branch Library is a cooking library, it will be possible to find only cookbooks from all around the world and biography of authors and will be a small part of a movie section about the food cultures.
-Each level of the building will be another different type of cuisine(ex. 1floor- Mediterranean Cuisine, 2ndfloor- French Cuisine)
-On top, as we discussed last time, I designed a test kitchen and top floor of that there is a storage where you can find the basics of both kitchen tools and products. Next to it, it is possible to find seats and a glass envelope which opens up a little greenish terrace on 5th floor to create a little garden.
* Drawings are not close to the final version. The more that I draw, I had the opportunity to better observe the space and work on them. Currently I’m working on them and they’ll be ready for Friday, 10th.
** In the first image, I re-organized the distribution of the spaces and make the stairs into it rather than show them as another level of passages. I thought that (as working in a really small site), I’m losing so much spaces if I make them like another level of passages. In this version as you can see on second and third floor, spaces for 1 or 10 will be seperated by glass envelopes to provide the degree of privacy and publicity. (possible to see in the first image of model.)
