Tiga – Response to Quotes

### “What would you do if you were a senior graphic design student at college or university?

> I would work very hard. I would try out as much as I can. I would try to get one freelance job at the time, maybe with a client I know, can be an uncle, a friend, anybody who needs a piece of design and do it to the very best of my abilities. Not to make money, but to do one actual job truly well.

I feel strongly about the point “try to get one freelance job at the time”. There were times that I took like 10 jobs in a time and I couldn’t do any of them well. Since there are certains standards of a “good designer”, students who aim to succeed in the design field do need to work really hard to become a good designer.

### How do you fight boredom in your work and is it really the greatest designer’s challenge as you once said – not to get bored?

> Milton Glaser once told me that his proudest achievement in over 50 years of being a designer is that he is still interested and feels engaged. I myself find that sabbaticals to be the best cure.

Break is important. I have the best inspirations when I just woke up in the morning so I do think that I do the best work after a really good break.
