Octavi Navarro – Nostalgic

I used to play a lot of video games during my high school days. Basically from 8th grade until Senior year my life’s passion and main hobby was playing video games. I adore all types. MMO, RPG, FPS, Single Player, Rogue Like, etc. I was most into MMORPG which stands for Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game. My game of choice was Guild Wars 2 or GW2 for short. It combined intuitive combat mechanics with a high skill ceiling player vs player arena. I was so into the game that I actually started competing semi professionally. I was part of a team and had daily practice consisting of scrimmage matches and logistic drills. GW2 was not  the only game I played during that time however, I also played a lot of indie titles which can be described as independent games that are usually tight on a budget. I find that these games are usually much more art driven an have unique, different interaction. I look back at those years in a very positive light. I didn’t have to worry about social stimulation, girl troubles, family hardships or school. I just took an escape pod out of reality every time I booted up my computer. I am writing this entry about the keyword Nostalgic because that is the feeling I feel when I hear about new games or play old games on a friends computer. I have since given up video games and have focused more on spending my time towards my career and philosophy.
