I Don’t Like Fish

A moving puppetry project where the theme of mobility and illusion was played upon.

The idea came from my relationship with my father, his love for fishing and my desire to bond with him through the act of fishing. I used to be terrified of fish, hated swimming in water where I could see a fish get to close to me. I also loved looking at fish as well, only daring to touch them by swiping my finger on the tip of their tail for good luck once we caught one.

This is a sockeye spawning salmon, though large this fish is not to scale with the actual size of a salmon, that would take too much sculpy.
