For this project I made seven toys made from recycled material. I used wood boards, stones, rubber band，pins, can rings and card boards. I found those materials in my life. the wood boards were found in the making center, they are wastes from other students, so I reused them. And stones were taken from a park, the rubber band is from delivery box, can rings and cardboards are from coke can and shoe boxes. As a sustainable project, I tried my best to use all recycle material. And for products, they are all easy and playful little games for children older than 2 years old. Because the baby may eat the elastic string and can rings are dangerous for them. Toys are basically designed for shapes and colors. I want my toys to be playful also educational. Children can learn basic color and shape from those toys. And some of them can also train the dimensional thinking ability.
Some of toys let children get in touch with recycle. They put waste can rings into a box like a monster. Using recycled material and design toys about recycling are my way to let young children create their concept about the sustainable system.
I believe everything has the responsibilities to protect world. And as an adult, I should let children get this idea from the toy I made.
