My Integrative Studio Experience

This course was very constructive in my eyes. I learned a lot of things that opened my mind about totally different techniques. It may not have been exactly what I want to do in the future, but I think I learned techniques that will be useful for later.

I went through hard times, because some of the projects were hard for me, but I figured it out and I always gave in my projects. So I think it wasn’t easy but very worth it to learn all of these different things. During this course, I think I made a lot of progress, because for every project from the beginning to the end I had a lot more ideas every time.

I had to face many challenges. First sometimes collaboration was hard depending on my classmates. I had a really fun and instructive collaboration with Melis for example, but with my other group, it was really hard and there were a lot of tensions.

My favorite project was actually the last one. At first I was really scared of not being able to create my piece, but it turned out really nice and not that hard. I learned how to sew and I think that for what I want to do it is something that I can’t miss. I had fun creating a crazy piece. Of course, it took me a long time to figure out how I was going to handle this and also to find a great idea that was related to my Fairy Tail and the one of my Classmate. I think it is something I will keep forever because it is my first real Fashion piece.

In the future I would like to manage a brand, that’s why I’m in the Strategic Design and Management program. I also love to follow Fashion Bloggers and I am really interested in what they are all doing.  I really enjoyed this class for the creativity of it but for also teaching me so much things that I will need. It was a success for my first semester at Parsons.
