For this project, I emphasized on the power of social media and how it manipulates our minds and values. Magazine covers, billboards, advertisements and more are influencing our image of what a standard women should look like. Ironically, that type of women only exist post photoshop. Americans have spent enormous amount of money and time in search for the ideal body. This includes cosmetic surgery, weight-lost manipulation…etc. My goal is to bring the fake image into perspective. I plan on using zippers to create a division between the reality, which is plus size figure in contrast to the unreality, model figure.
