As a team with diverse backgrounds, we decided to use our second language as an advantage and bring in a different sensation. We experimented with telling our stories using mostly music and sound effects. The stories related to colour “red” was recorded in our native tongue and by incorporating dramatic back ground music, voices and sound effects, we wished to deliver the same message through sounds.
My brain storm ideas:
- Combine different sound effects and music to narrate our stories and colours without the use of verbal language.
- Mimic the Bryant Park audio tour and tell the stories as if the audiences are at the scenes. Use our voices and sound effects to render a vivid visual image in the audiences’ minds.
- Do an interview asking each team member their memory related to our colour red. After recording it separately, we can then bring it into Premiere and edit all the pieces together as one.
