Inspired by Brothers Grimm’s story, “Hansel and Gretel” I decided to design a collection for the witch in the story. I noticed that the story is dehumanizing and degrading women. Back in the 19th century, women who were more independence and capable were considered as witches. I decided to bring the notorious witch into a modern context and view them from a second point of view. I believe witches are merely women who are advance of their time. They are more openminded and independent individuals. I decided to make a look book for the collection. As shown above, the book will take the form of a pop up book and the theme of the forest to tie back in with the story.
