Interview:

When did people first Identify their gender?
  • I first identified myself as a female when I was about 7. I used to have a short hairstyle which just looks like a boy and always wear pant/ jeans instead of a skirt because my mom was too busy to help me tie my hair. but after I spend my first year in my primary school, I started to have the awareness as a girl: I want to have long hair, ponytail like all other girls in my class did.
What’s gender role played in society?
  • In the common sense of Chinese families, men are always the person who should go out for work and work for the living, and women should take care of the kids and housework. Although there are some women get a high position in a company, it is only a few. More women just stay at home after they married or they have a kid because taking care of a baby is really costing time and effort.

Reflection:
