Reaction: Space and Immersion

If you were to build virtual reality, what might that experience feel like, look like, sound like, smell like?

What theme or story would you choose?

What kind of immersive experience will guests have entering your land?

Is there a ride? Architecture and content have to be related to the theme/story.

Personally speaking, I think virtual reality is a key to not only imitate reality but creating “reality”. So for me, I will build a giant world. The world setting will be: The flowers will be huge as a house, grass will be the forest, so you can smell the soil and the grass. The people will live underground.

Maybe a girl who doesn’t want to live underground anymore breaks the rule. she got lost and a rabbit brings her home.

When thinking about this, the first scene coming to my mine will be the movie of Alice in Wonderland, when they were on t

The possible way to do it I think will be to make a micro model. To create a good immersive experience, the key I think it’s to emphasize the size of objects: they are all going to be huge compared with the people.

Take the work from Tatsuya Tanaka as an example, I like really like his style. With small models, he creates a world that is ridiculous but real. Base on his works, I feel like shrink the size of people will be one of options of doing it.
