Final Memory Mandala

My memories for a time not so long ago represented in a mandala.

There are many meanings packed into this mandala. This is my second version because I thought the first was too minimal, which I most certainly am not.The main memory of this mandala comes from my two years I lived in Vermont. It was my first time living in the US, and having more resources, I got to discover and do more. The overall style of this mandala has to do with astrology and space because it is something very important in my life to this day and it all started back in Vermont. I also included some little constellations- some random and some represent me and my family.

The four suns are the first circle, or it can even be called a square. They represent Belize, my home, where it was always sunny, and that I missed so very much while I was away. They are also a layer along with the circle that is the moon, to surround the center of the piece. This is to represent my personality trait INFJ of sensitivity. The white lines are representative of a book- because I started Booktube and reading more frequently during that time. They also look kind of sketchy showing my art side.

The black vine like lines are my seed syllable. The seed syllable took inspiration of medieval art and I love British history so that played in well. On the same note, the crown in the middle of the half moon is to show my love of the history of the kings and queens of England, I studied that a lot during that time.

The eyes. my personality test resulted in 68% judging so I use the eyes to represent that. I also started wearing winged eyeliner in Vermont, which I feel is a bit of a frivolous staple of mine but still important.

I’m a sucker for gold foil so that that’s why I chose the gold background.

And last but not least, because this was my biggest struggle during that time, we have the black flames/squiggly lines. When the Vermont journey started I had such a hard time thereby developing Anxiety disorder which I struggled with on the daily there. I still do but not as bad as it was then. However, in them we have small moon cycles that show how fast time went by while living in Vermont. I feel like I just moved there but here I am already, moved away from there, back home for 6 months and now college. It’s already an old memory.
