Seminar Reflection

When I walked into this class I thought writing? haha no bueno but then, as one does in new situations, I discovered it was so much more. I would not only get an academic outcome(?) from this class, but it would help strengthen the bond with the people in Studio and with Maya especially. It’s a class I most definitely looked forward to every week, and not only because it the last one I have on Friday, but because I really did enjoy the class and its discussions. I’ll be honest, there were weeks I didn’t read, but I always felt that with the dynamic of the class, I could contribute what I could. I’ll never forget the day when absolutely no one read and we stood united. Aside from that, the readings were interesting and I felt like they were well catered to the class, specially chosen, not just something slapped on to the syllabus. They gave us much to think about and question, it broadened my knowledge [horizons] as a class should.

There are definitely classes that I took this semester, that once I am finished, I will gladly forget. Of course this is a class I feel will stay with me for a long time. I will look back on it, not too often though because I don’t want the memories to turn into false ones, and think ah yes first freshman semester at parsons with Maya and Anney. So thank you for this class, and thank you for making it a memorable one.

K.K.
