Time & Composition: Project 5
In this project, we learnt how to use Adobe Audition to edit sounds and music, and we also used Adobe Illustrator to illustrate the music into some symbols and characters to present the feelings and describe the music. I chose to use Concerto “Per La Solennita Di S. Lorenzo” composed by Antonio Lucio Vivaldi, an Italian musician born in the 17th century. I used about 2 minutes and 10 seconds from the beginning of the concert, using different shapes to show the different instruments that I heard from the music record in Adobe Audition.
I listed out 4 different kinds of music in total for this piece of music, with the different width, length and shape, I tried to show the changes of the volume, pause and the pitch, while the colours are also presenting my feelings toward the instruments that I heard from the concert. I think it is an interesting way to connect art with music, elements(visual) and sounds.
