Throughout the Khebar, John Zorn’s Bar Kokhba troops used simple classic instruments but were able to create exciting and different sounds using innovative practices. Although I’m not a musician, as a designer and entrepreneur I can relate to the unique challenge of making the most of the tools and opportunities I have at hand. Even though this song contains no words, the video tells a very specific story of a plan being executed (sheet music being read) and efficiency and innovation while using resources at hand. These components of structure and desire to use the full potential of the resources they have at hand force artists to tap into peak creativity.
