Collecting my trash for the week was a bit challenging as a have a natural tendency to just throw away what I deem useless after eating or shopping. On top of that, my suitemates accidentally threw away part of my collection and so I had a little bit of a set back. As my trash collection grew I felt like I was no longer the consumer, but that I was being consumed by the trash. I tried to emphasize this in my portrait by having the trash spilling out of me and having parts of my body almost morph with my waste, such as my foot “turning into” a shoebox.
