Project title : Power of color
My original proposal was to combine some visual elements into my ensemble which are from digital and media artworks from NAM JUN PAiK. The primary material that I used for the bottom was six different colours of polyester. They are from mood fabric. My 3rd ensemble is made of cardboard. I can say that the material of the 3rd one is repurposed. This is because initially, it was just a package box, but it became the shoulder armour as my last ensemble. In the beginning, the project was a mess because I did not know what to do. I kept changing the colours of fabric, and keep thinking about what kinds of material should I choose. However, through various attempts and failures, I learned my know-how and methods on what direction to go. Through this project, I learn a lot of things like sewing zippers, pattern making, and problem-solving. Also, I became patience with many failures in the use of unmanageable cloths. If I improve the project, I will spend more money on the 3rd piece so that I can make the shoulder armour using the materials used on the outside of the television. This will allow the audience to see my clothes and their first impression to the ensembles should be thinking about Nam June Paik.
