Bridge Project 5: Framing Fashion

Inspiration pictures ( Nam June Paik)

  1. Main Photo

In this photo, I am holding a laptop and watching a one of projects that I have done in the time class. Since I have to includ my first year project in my shot, I decided to take a shot with my laptop.

2. Supporting photos

I took several photos in the multiple places in UC.  I picked the place where I went to often rather than an unfamiliar site. This can be represent my footnote of first year. In addition,  I took a lot of pictures in the background of the stairs. I think the idea of climbing the stairs indicates that I have learned and grown a lot in this first year. So, I took a shot in a place with stairs.

  1. Explain what you learned from this process.

I learned several things through the final project. By making one top and one skirt, I learned how to manage the fabric and how to make patterns for the garment. Also, since it was quite long and time-consuming project, I struggled to deal with my schedule. But, now I learned how to manage my time efficiently.

Short reflection

Overall, I am satisfied with my outcome of the final project. I think I completed my three ensembles successfully. In my point of view, I can feel that three ensembles are well represented in the inspiration of Nam June Paik’s digital art. Especially, the six different colours of skirts and the geometric shape of shoulder armour are completed as I expected.
