My initial process started with some basic ideas of separate parts of the outfit. I took inspiration from designers who use volume to the fullest. I was particularly attracted to some of Mara Hoffman’s work. I used a jacket I have as a basic size template to make the pattern. From there, it was just sewing and detail work.
