Process of Project 1
Part 1: Variable Lines
- Sketch
This was easy start into the semester. The studies really made me think of multiple ways I could make different lines and the relationship between the lines and the white space.
2. 10 square pieces of size 5 by 5 with black and white horizontal and vertical lines.
These square pieces seemed pointless to me in the beginning as I didn’t know where we were going with the project. However, it was an interesting step.

Part 2: Permutations
1. Grid on Adobe Illustrator
This step made me realize how easy things can be if made with computer. The handmade squares took me over an hour to complete. However, this step probably took me only half an hour.
2. Printed grid
3. Tracing paper Grid
This step was probably my favorite step. I enjoyed tracing and creating the same version of the piece on tracing paper.
Part 3: Final Version on Illustrator
