Drawing and ImagingType as Image

Part 1: Picking a text

I chose this quote by a prominent Islamic figure. My father once told me about it, and I have always followed it. “See the bad inside yourself, and the good inside others”

Part 2: Sketch

I drew out a man with his tongue out and color dripping down with the quote on the left side. Anne wanted me to get rid of the drawing as it was over shadowing the quote itself.

Here is what I made first.

Then I didn’t know what I could do to tell a story with this quote. I finally landed up on the idea of making the quote have a grey shadow. The shadow represents how are actions have consequences and become a memory in the past. We leave trails behind us and if we see the good inside other and bad inside our self, so many issues can be resolved without hurting anyone.

Part 3: Create in illustrator

This is my final version

text based project
