My passion for photography started in 7th grade when I began taking a photography class in which I began to use a DSLR for the first time. For the next three year I would occasionally take photos but it was never a focus. During 9th grade and 10th grade I was consumed with fighting mental illness in which I only went out to take photos once. By the end of 10th grade and beginning of 11th, I had overcome the crippling aspects and was able to enjoy myself and appreciate myself once again. I took this photo in February of my Junior year and was proud of myself for the first time in a while. After taking this, I began to go out to shoot multiple times a month, this photo was not only the start to my pride in my work but marks pride in myself.
