The tv series is about a detective in New York involved with violent crime. The title sequence will be comprised of extremely out of focus shots that show just light and color and will alternate between those and shots of the city while zooming out. The last shot will begin as unfocused and/or zooming out and will focus as the title appears. Along with this the sequence will transition from day to night to show passage of time. The unfocused to focussed at the end acts as a representation for solving a case while the zooming out will symbolize stepping back to look at the ‘bigger picture’ of a case. These three elements will work to provide a subliminal effect on the viewer along with visuals that show crime and police activity.
