For my final work in sustainable system I decided to create a multifunctional healthy materials cloth. For the success of this piece I used a silk white cloth which I later dyed using beets, avocado skins and seeds to get a scale of pink results. To embellish this piece I flattened plastic bags which I later cut and sewed to the cloth. This cloth can be used as almost anything, as a skirt, shirt, head piece, scarf, and even a tapestry! This product is completely sustainable because I used a recycled cloth that was just laying around my dorm without use, later dyed it and embellished it to make it sustainably fashioned! I decided to create a multinational piece because this way the product can be used for almost anything, making it more sustainable to make.
As an artist, I like to create things that are useful, sustainable, yet very pretty and fashionable.
