Crazy Eights Slapping Mod

For 2-4 players

This game can be played with any standard 52-card deck. Shuffle the cards. Every player starts off with 6 cards. The remaining cards must be placed into two equal draw piles. You start the game by placing the top card from each pile next to their respective draw pile. Players can look at their own cards once the draw pile cards are flipped.  Starting from the left of the dealer and continuing clockwise, each player must either place down a legal card or draw from a draw pile. The player may place their legal card on any of the two play piles as long as it is an eight or has the same rank or suit. If the player has two legal cards to place on the play piles then they may place both down. A legal card is defined as any card matching suit or rank, or a “crazy” eight. If an eight is put down, the player who placed the card must choose a suit to continue the game. A joker is equivalent to any eight card. An eight can only be topped by the suit that the player chose. If both piles in play have the same rank or suit, then the players must slap in. The last player to slap the cards must draw eight cards. The player who loses their cards first wins the game, but players may continue playing until there is only one person left with cards. If there are no cards in either two draw piles left, then the two piles in play may be shuffled and split in half to revive the two draw piles (excluding the two top cards in play).
