For my third sketchbook assignment, I was assigned to create a collage with mixed mediums of both illustration and printed images. I chose to use several randomly selected images from my computer and the internet and decided to draw a series of lines around them. Along with the lines, I chose to add a few details to each image, such as giving the man a cape, giving the statue white eyes, and drawing interconnections between the soft sculpture.
This was probably the most entertaining Sketchbook Assignment, although I wish I was more tempted to try more, perhaps make a background that’s far more lively or something, and I hope to do that on the next sketchbook assignment.
