This project was meant to be a combination of two objects from two different cultures based on art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.  Most of my objects from my folder were from the arms and armor section.  I primarily found objects in the main hall which was mostly Medieval Armor, to the left and right were handheld weapons from Europe and Asia.  I went around and chose the most interesting objects to me.  I chose several variations of Japanese Katanas, European Rapiers, and several other objects such as samurai armor and a few Chinese household decorations.  Finally, I chose to just use the Rapier and one of the Katanas and made my hybrid with the hilt of the rapier and blade of the katana.
