Int. Studio 2 – Bridge 4: Activation

Bridge 4: Activation

Because my Bridge 4 was a zine I don’t really have many progress pictures. In the first zine that I created, I got feedback stating that I should have another level of engagement through the film and project.

This is the first version of the zine/lookbook I created. It started off with just pictures and very simple text but I decided to edit it to become more personal and to give more information on the process, thought development, inspiration, and the point as well.

This is the edited final lookbook/zine I created. I added more of my process, the thinking behind it, the point in which why I decided to create this look, and inspiration. I also purposely made the zine digital so that it could be more accessible to other people. Having a paper copy is good because the audience has something physical to look at, but digitally it can reach so many more people and would be a lot easier to access rather than paper which could be lost easily or forgotten about.

I decided to create a zine for my Bridge 4 because I wanted a way to be able to show off my design so that it doesn’t go to waste and I can explain my thinking behind it. I’ve also have been interested in fashion photography and having a photoshoot, so creating a zine was a great way to be able to make a small shoot and to practice directing it. I don’t think I had any challenges while creating the actual zine, but I do think the shoot was successful. I’m really proud of how the pictures turned out and I was also surprised at myself for being able to direct it as well. I was able to describe to the models (my friends) how I wanted the outfit to be portrayed so I think in that overall the shoot was very successful. I think that this project could’ve been expanded by me creating a few more garments. I wish I could’ve created more so that I could’ve created more looks with them but with me just learning how to sew and make patterns, time wise it wouldn’t have worked.
