The Met

This is me at The Met.

The first show that I visited is Heavenly Bodies. The heavenly and lofty background music was attractive, and it serves the ambient very well. I suggest every part of the museum should have their own background music according to the theme.

Move on to see the costume, the one which is “floating” above the main entrance is my favorite piece, because the isolation from the other piece makes this one special. In details, the color choices(light sky blue and light earthy brown) together with the soft fabric texture create a sense of holiness.

Another one that I like is a red costume(the right one). Compare to other pieces that I saw, this piece hold a significant lower profile: there is no overwhelmed decoration and jewelry ornaments. Simple and elegant, but it still has a noble taste.

The Japanese armor show grabs more of my attention. Here is always the best-place-to-go for boys. However, the first thing that came up in my mind is: how can warriors see when wearing those helmets?

My favorite piece of armor is the one below. Although they all look kind of similar, such as the color choices are always low-saturation red, green and some leather brown, this piece (the right one) is located at the center of the show. The position gives this armor a special power. It is very respectful. Unlike some other fancy-crafted dragon helmets(the left one), this armor belongs to a real fighter. It is designed to fight.
