On Lewis Hine Inspiration

Lewis Hine is an american sociologist and photographer, he worked as a teacher and became comfortable with talking to children. He tried to get as much information as possible regarding their living conditions, circumstances while they’re forced to work, their name and their age. He used his camera as a social reform and he focuses on child labor issues. He mainly photographed World War I and American Red Cross relief work in Europe. His style includes medium close up shots with subject in center of frame and a shallow depth of field. He also liked to play with geometrical lines in his photographs.
