I was fascinated by this piece called ” Jaw Piece ” crafted by the artist ‘Shaun Leane.’ It was designed for Alexander McQueen. The piece shows the jaw part of our human body. It was interesting to observe and feel the strong and secured atmosphere as an object of jewelry. I felt like it could turn into the practical artistic piece which could work as the ‘armor’ in our body. If I was able to redesign the piece based on the original design, I would add more vintage vibe into the silver in a way to develop its serenity.

The second piece that I was attracted to was “Bone Cuff” crafted by the artist ‘Elsa Peretti.’ Considering the contemporary visuals of the piece surprises me about the year of its creation (1971-1974). I was amazed by the sensitive craft of its finished line at the edges. In my perspective, the design seems to imply the theme of ‘self-protection’  and ‘self-expression.’ I would add more fragile features into this piece if I were to redesign it.
