I got my inspiration from this painting, The Birth of Venus, painted by Sandro Botticell in the mid 1480s. In the picture, Venus is portrayed naked on a shell on the seashore, this made me thinking of the ralationship between women and pearls. Are women originally made of pearl in ancient fairy tale? I asked myself this question. So I decided to make a video to explore the senses of a woman with pearls.
