Original:
Lowline is an underground park project located in Lower East Side Manhattan. By using hi-tech solar panel, they aim to create a ecosystem underground.
Concern & Idea:
What would happen if a terrible hurricane come? (Like what happened on 2012). Because the location, once the hurricane brings fluid, the whole underground area would drawn and no plant will survive. On the other hand, solar panel limits the number of spices of plants that could grow underground, and if there’s any toxic gas, people who are staying at Lowline have no safety guarantee.
By creating open space on the ground, the air quality in Lowline would be much more better. If there has fluid problem, water could easily goes out through tube or go into soil.
