Contrast and Anomaly

Anomaly

Anomaly is what captures the viewer’s attention. Anomaly may be similar to ‘contrast’ except it does not go from dark to light or light to dark. The composition of the shapes may remain indistinguishable but the colors and the lights of this composition will not change. The use of the main triangle and going outwards in with the four rectangles has made the focal point and viewer’s first sight to go straight to the triangle, the two circles in the outside is what distracts and makes us focus on what is in the middle.

Contrast

The use of the two limited colors: black and white, shows a comparison of what is in the figure and the ground. In this compositional, I was able to show a three dimension look on a two dimensional media. Contrast goes from dark to light or light to dark. The darker shaded ones are the figure while the ones that are shading are the ground
