Conclusion:

I had a really enjoyable time with the live model figure drawing and painting during the class. This is my first time experienced with live model painting using acrylic paints, and I really learned a lot through each class. In the beginning, I really struggled with every detail of my drawing, but then I understand that I should focus on outlining the gestures first. The first couple classes were hard for me, but it got better after practicing more with gestures drawings. I added more details to the body, and it was helpful with using a measuring stick to see the proportions of each part of the body. I also enjoyed mixing colors of the acrylic paints, and it was fun to see the difference between using the median and water to the painting. I do like to draw long poses, but it was also a challenging part for me because I have to make decisions about different parts of the body. I learned that there are different dimensions that you can find from the body, and it will help you to locate each joint of the arms and legs. I also learned that using a light tone color to start the gesture is flexible because you can make changes afterward. Overall, I think it was a really fun experience with live model painting and I saw improvements in my painting as time flies. I’m so grateful that we had this chance to work with the model, and I’m looking forward to working with more painting in the future.
