For my bestiary, I chose to highlight an important part of my social issue – The rise in hate crime/racisum in England with the onset of Brexit. As I was working out the collage, it occured to me that the news played a really important role in my social issue. Therefore, I chose to work the bestiary project around that.
The national flower of England is the rose and I repeated the motif across all the cards. To showcase the rather somber tone of the issue, The reds of the roses were paired with dirtier yellows and shades of brown. The ways that news is/was disseminated that is showcased in the cards are newspaper, newspaper sellers, the radio and Parliament.
