PETER DOIG

When I looked at the paintings my immediate reaction was to the colors, either bright or very dull and dark. I was attracted to the way he layer the paint and the somewhat transparent parts. The size of the pieces had an affect on how I perceived them. For example the large and small painting of the people in the canoe like shape, one was much larger than the other and were very similar but the feelings of each alone were different. Overall it was an interesting exhibit.
